One of the more striking parts of the initial study was that people would rate themselves high in an area, take a test, and receive a low score showing they didn't know the subject. That knowledge didn't last. Very shortly they were back to rating themselves very high in knowledge of that area. So they gave classes to participants in the deficient area. Only after the participant took the class, and understood finally just what they didn't know, did the participant rate their prior knowledge as poor.

You may need more than one class though. :)
