Subject: Tuckums for President
There is idle chatter that Tucker Carlson may be locked into a non-compete agreement with Fox and may give some thought to a run at the White House or some other high-profile office. Hey, if Sarah Huckabee Socialist can slither into the governor's mansion and a reality tv star can become president, anything is possible.

Rick Wilson pondered the possibility this morning, writing not to expect to see the "Tucker Carlson White Power Hour on the Blaze or Daily Wire" but that since white nationalists love the guy and have regularly "filled their hate spank banks with Tucker clips," politics may beckon. Wilson contends that Carlson may be the only individual who presents a material danger to Donald Trump in a primary.

WILSON tweets: Celebrity, money, mental acuity, cynicism, pro-Putin isolationism, and an overt love of authoritarianism are a pretty strong secret sauce for the MAGA base.

Ah, but here's the rub (and perhaps the real reason Tuckums was fired:

In Abby Grossberg's lawsuit against Tuckums, she evidently had audio of him musing about statutory rape and the sexual activity of 14-year-old girls: "If it weren't my daughter, I would love that scenario" Tuckums exclaims in response to a story about the girls at his fourteen-year-old daughter's boarding school experimenting sexually with one another.

59. March 2019: An audio clip of Mr. Carlson emerged in which he says: (a) arranged
marriages between adults and children are not "the same thing exactly as pulling a child from a bus stop and sexually assaulting that child.... The rapist in this case has made a lifelong commitment to live and take care of the person, so it is a little different"; (b) sex workers are "slutty and pathetic"; (c) women are "extremely primitive, they're basic, they're not that hard to understand"; and (d) in response to a story about girls at his fourteen-year-old daughter's boarding school experimenting sexually with each other, Mr. Carlson opined: "If it weren't my daughter, I would love that scenario."

Ick.
