Subject: Schumer: You Don't Have the Votes
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said this afternoon that Democrats would reject a government funding bill that Republicans wrote and passed through the House without any input from congressional Democrats.

“Our caucus is unified on a clean April 11 CR that will keep the government open and give Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation that can pass," he said. "I hope our Republican colleagues will join us to avoid a shutdown on Friday."

On the one hand, not passing this CR will shut down the government. On the other hand, passing the CR will give Republicans a free hand to shut down the government when and how they decide so either way the government gets shut down.

Let's see if the Democrats actually have the balls to stop Mad King Donald.
