Subject: great quote
As near as I can tell, it is originally from the Chernobyl miniseries. I can't find another attribution (like Plato or Russell or similar). But it is a great quote. I put it on the US Policy board because it seems generally relevant, even if it isn't a specific US Policy. But, like the book 1984, it seems very salient in these times.

When the truth offends, we lie and lie until we can no longer remember it is even there. But it is still there. Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid.
