Subject: Re: If Trump Wins...
Part 1: Crack down on illegal immigration to an extreme degree
- mass deportations. Stephen Miller says a ten fold increase in deportations, more than a million per year
- use federal agents, the National Guard and federal troops to apprehend migrants
- use military funds to build “vast holding facilities” to detain immigrants
- suspend refugee program and bar visitors from mostly Muslim countries (reinstate a version of the travel ban)
- end birthright citizenship
Hard to imagine how they would pull all this off, but you also have to wonder what it would do to our economy. - ges

Nice list, To the extent possible, 100% of these elements should be aggressively implemented. The one on Muslim bans is poorly worded. Trumps original policy intent was oriented to those counties who could not or would not provide the records necessary to vet immigrants from their country, eg the hundreds of thousands from Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan.
Regarding the effect on our economy - it would a giant plus of the states and cities who are cutting police and other social services to citizens in order to pay the upkeep for hundreds of thousands of dependent immigrants.
There is the economic impact of small businesses and even big ones closing their doors because of rampant crime and the resultant impact on the quality of life for law abiding residents in those areas.
Perhaps more importantly is the lasting emotional impact on families who have been victims of unnecessary immigrant crime.
