LurkerMom: Interesting. I actually lived on the Lincoln Highway in DeKalb IL for about six months during my transition from my hometown NYC to the midwest.

We never used a definite article with Lincoln Highway. No "the". But then we usually called it Route 30 or just 30 where we lived, likely because it was fewer syllables.

You might also like the Kopp Sisters series by Amy Stewart, set in the early 20th century ("Girl Waits with Gun" is the first title in the series), the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series by Louise Penny, and the Cork O'Connor series by William Kent Krueger ("Iron Lake" is the first book in that series). Oh, and Fredrik Backman's "A Man Called Ove".

So many books, so little time.
