Subject: Re: Truckers Refusing To Deliver to NYC
But I don't think the Dems have the working class vote locked-up like they used to.
-------------------
If I were driving message strategy for the Democratic Party today, I would immediately begin scheduling town halls in high school gyms across New York, New Jersey, Florida and anywhere else Trump has done business since the 1970s. I'd run a direct mail compaign to every small business or trade shop in the local phone book inviting them to come out for a town hall. Pull out the bleachers and ask the small business owners and local carpenters, plumbers, painters, roofers, etc. who have been screwed by Donald Trump over the decades to tell their stories. Frame a shot of packed bleachers, randomly pick someone out of the crowd, put up a mic for them to speak and ask them, "So tell me how Trump's strategy of stiffing contracts and suing them ruined your business and your life."
Do this multiple times in multiple cities, caption the video with the town, the town hall date, the date of the original gig, the names of the people speaking up and run these clips as ads continously in every swing state from now until November.
Trump is NOT in your corner as a small business owner or someone who actually WORKS every day. Never has been. Never will be.
This message should obviously click with actual small business owners and trades persons but would also click with white collar techs and professionals who are increasingly familiar with the mechanics of a "gig economy" and the dangers it imposes when those hiring the gig strategically skip out on paying.
