Subject: Save the children
The organizers of a 'kink festival' to be held a couple miles down the bay from us were assailed online by San Luis Obispo's arbiters of morality.
It isn't my cup of tea, but seems to me that if people who enjoy kinky sex are not a threat to the community in their daily lives, they aren't all of a sudden a threat if they rent a community hall (county owned)for a discreet indoor restricted event. If 300 people bought tickets, I'd imagine they represent a cross section of the community and enjoy the same right to free speech, peaceful assembly and all that.
Not surprisingly, a fake account was created on a popular local social media website and the right-wing outrage fuse was lit. Thousands of posts attacking and defending the lifestyle. Not surprisingly, the most vicious and vociferous objectors used 'christian' emoji in their posts on popular social media websites. These not-so-holy rollers posted 'what about the children' messages comparing kinky sex to the holocaust(seriously)and rape; labeled them groomers, pedophiles; things one might expect to hear from a Trump or Carlson to generate outrage.

Anyhow, the sponsor caved to the threats from tough talking god-squadders. So much for Constitutional rights.
This week I read about the following lawsuit:

It would be sweet if the god-squadders got their heads handed to them in court for their their threats and harrassment
