Spent some time hiking yesterday with a 60 yo acquaintance, who has MAGA leanings.
As we hiked, got on the subject of healthcare, which she purchases on the marketplace.
She was very surprised to hear that the OBBB will slash the ACA subsidy. Told her in a
very matter of fact way to expect to pay more for her insurance, budget for it now. She
did not like hearing that, says things are tight right now. I just shrugged and said
you have to deal with things as they exist, be prepared for your healthcare costs going
up noticeably. She also has asthma, and gets the covid vax annually. Let her know that
the director of MAHA decrees that those under 65 can get the vax if they want, but they will be paying for it without any government subsidy.

Gee, it's almost like Trump voters did not listen to his campaign rhetoric, or had
their ears filtered to just hear the parts that they wanted to hear. I see costs
in the grocery stores going up noticeably. I see cost of new vehicles, or at least the ones
I'm interested in, going up noticeably. Maybe those foreigners ain't payin those
tariffs ??? lol, #sarcasm
