Interesting statistic, the Grand Blanc shooter and the North Carolina shooter are both 40 year old ex-Marine, Iraq War vets.

The North Carolina guy would appear to have a track record of being a mite funny in the head.

Edge – who had changed his name from Sean DeBevoise – was featured in local news articles that discussed his service and his road to recovery from the injuries he sustained.

In the past several years, Edge had filed a string of civil lawsuits with rambling, sometimes conspiratorial claims. One lawsuit against the Department of Veteran Affairs was filed September 24, less than a week before the shooting.

In contrast, the local news has been interviewing neighbors of the Grand Blanc shooter. They all agree he was a really nice guy, cheerful, always willing to help with things like clearing snow out of neighbor's driveways.
