Good news but the Board and Trustees and cadre of professors who supported her are still there and still hold the same opinions which will show up in subtle ways in hiring, governance, admissions, and student relations. Now if a dozen or so of them would also resign from their rarefied positions, then there may be room for actual charge at Harvard.
I hope the hiring managers of wall street and the mega-donors stay the course and not be satisfied with stopping the pressure at Gay's resignation.
How about the new President of Harvard announce a goal of Harvard not being dead last on the survey of supporting free speech in US colleges. That would be a start.
