Fair enough (though he did acknowledge in his speech that he was out of the house for a year, not that it had to be rebuilt).

But again - he didn't compare the Maui fire to a small kitchen fire. He was offering an example that he knows what it's like to be displaced from your home due to a fire - not that the fires were comparable in scope or magnitude.
