Subject: Re: New Video J6 Police Open Fire On Protesters
Now though we have actual footage and more of the police firing on protesters aiming for their heads who were just standing there peacefully.
No, we don't. We have no idea where the police were aiming - none of the firing officers appear in frame, and almost all of the folks that were hit were struck by projectiles that travel well through the crowd before striking them. There's no way to determine whether the shots were aimed at them, aimed at someone else, or struck someone else before ricocheting along (three of the seven in the video were a man struck in the back, and then the pellet bouncing onto a second and then third person).
As we discussed in the other thread, by this point the crowd had already broken through several layers of barricades to reach that point. These scenes were on the West Plaza. You can see the walls of the building in frame. The mob has already breached the barricades at the Lower West Terrace, and the police have been reduced to holding back the mob physically with their riot gear. The police responded properly by trying to disperse the crowd, which refused to disperse on their own.
