George Murdoch, interviewing Dementia Don on his Planet Tyrus podcast, suggested he should take more credit for his wonderful financial generosity.

MURDOCH: "Nelson Mandela was trying to come to the United States. You chartered a plane for the entire trip. Why is it hard for you to talk about the things you've done?"

TRUMP: "I love doing it. I don't need praise for it. I just like helping people. I enjoy doing it. It's not a narrative the press likes to talk about."

REALITY: Christine Dolan, who handled logistics for the trip, said that organizers, desperate to find a plane in time for Mandela’s arrival in the United States last Wednesday, contacted Trump seeking to rent his private jet. He responded that it was being serviced and unavailable but offered to release a 727 from his shuttle fleet, Dolan said.

But Trump’s generosity only goes so far: Organizers are paying $130,000 to charter the plane, Dolan said.
