That's last year's scam. This year's scam is raising gas prices even though the U.S. doesn't import oil from the Middle East and domestic production costs haven't risen by a dime. The result - syphoning a billion dollars a day from consumers to oil companies' bottom line. This is much bigger than the tariff scam.
