Subject: Security Clearances memo
One more item before I call it a night.

It seems that a number of Trump officials do not have a security clearance yet. Of course, Trump blames this on the Biden administration and calls it a "broken security clearance process."
The solution? Just issue the clearances. Don't bother with any background check. Quoting from the memo:
I hereby order:
1. The White House Counsel to provide the White House Security Office and Acting Chief Security Officer with a list of personnel that are hereby immediately granted interim Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearances for a period not to exceed six months; and
2. That these individuals shall be immediately granted access to the facilities and technology necessary to perform the duties of the office to which they have been hired ...
Let's just let anyone Trump chooses in to all of the highest security information we have for the next six months. That should be fine. [eyeroll]
While I suspect this may be within a President's powers, it's just asking for trouble to bypass the security clearance process. Wonder what the going rate will be for foreign agents to buy top secrets from White House staff.
