"Eli Lilly announced they are lowering the cost of insulin by 70% and capping what patients pay out-of-pocket for insulin at $35. This action, driven by the momentum from the Inflation Reduction Act, could benefit millions of Americans with diabetes in all fifty states and U.S. territories. The President continues to call on Congress to finish the job and cap costs at $35 for all Americans."

Sigh. Insulin pricing has been A Thing for a long time now, ever since EpiPens became a near-monopoly for Mylan Pharma.

Generic drugmaker Sandoz announced plans Thursday to start selling an alternative to the EpiPen in the U.S. early next year.

That's nice that Lilly lowered their prices. It has zip to do with Biden and more to do with the fact that there are more generics around.

The DOJ in fact lowered the boom on them long before Biden:

The $465 million settlement agreement that Mylan reached with the Department of Justice 10 months ago for claims that it defrauded the government by overcharging Medicaid for EpiPen auto-injectors has been finalized. Some called the news a win for taxpayers, while others said the drugmaker got off easy.

I'll ignore you other question.

Good. Hope you don't need any of those drugs on Biden's list, because they won't be around for much longer.
