Worth remembering that despite all those restrictions proposed mostly by all those good government liberals, that such activities remain legal. You have repeated schooled us on this problem stating succinctly, "Awful, but not unlawful". I wish it was not this way. Consequences for bad governance are few and far between.

There's not much of a constituency for good governance, unfortunately. The benefits are large, but diffuse; while the consequences of those reforms would fall on a much smaller, much more politically focused group.
