The GOP (Guardians of Pedophiles) members of Congress told itself to F-off on the plaque honoring the Capitol police that defended members of Congress on J6.

The Republicans bolted the plaque in a place inaccessible to the public.

For now, the plaque is bolted to a wall in a granite hallway reached by a set of stairs leading down from the Crypt, the vaulted space beneath the Rotunda. At the top of the stairs sits a sign stating: “Closed to all tours.”

The bipartisan law that requires this plaque to be displayed, specifies that it be placed “at a permanent location on the western front,” which doesn’t sound like it means “inside” the western front, hidden from public view.

The fact that they included a QR code for visitors to download even though there can be no visitors is quite telling:

On the wall near the plaque, staff on Saturday affixed a QR code titled “Honored Law Enforcement.” A scan with a smartphone takes the viewer to a 45-page list of names.

“Unescorted visitors cannot access this part of the building, and would be removed from the Capitol if they were discovered,” [Former Capitol Police officer, Harry] Dunn wrote in a declaration also filed in court Tuesday.

It seems like a new fad with the GOP to defy court orders and the law, and when they reach a point where they feel absolutely compelled to back down, they engage in half-ass compliance.
