Here's the sad thing.

Peter Navarro was my econ professor in my MBA program in the late 1990s. I remember his lectures on the the effects of taxes and tariffs on microecon. (Got called to the board with a couple of others to demonstrate a problem that I didn't fully understand. I glanced at someone else's work to see if I was on the right track. He noticed and made a big deal of sending me back to my seat. He was a jerk back then, too.)

He knows very well what tariffs do to the economy and is nothing more than a liar today.
