In Texas if a woman has an abortion she can be arrested for murder.

If the same woman chooses not to have her child vaccinated and the child dies from measles, she is just exercising her parental rights.

I think it should be. The child has no choice, and is entirely reliant on the parent. Neglect or abuse that results in death is usually punishable. Not getting the kid vaccinated is neglect, at the minimum.
