The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

bighairymike: Right in the middle of the meeting, someone would just call up their dad and put him on a speaker phone. They would shoot the breeze about the weather and sports while the rest of use just chilled eagerly waiting for the call to end so we could get back to business. Happened all the time, completely normal, nothing unusual about it.

First, that wasn't what was claimed.

Representative Comer said these conversations occurred over dinners: When Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States, he joined Hunter Biden's dinners with his foreign business associates in person or by speakerphone over 20 times."

Gee, was your Dad previously a high ranking senator or a current vice president of the United States?

Were you a drug addict a couple of million dollars in debt?

Were you trying to sell the "illusion" of access to Washington?

And this happened, what, 20 times over eight years?

Bottom line: Archer did affirm to the committee that Hunter Biden was selling the "illusion" of access to his father, but later clarified that the president's son was actually selling the illusion of access to Washington, DC, and knowledge of how it worked.

More important bottom line: You don't have one shred of evidence connecting Joe to Hunter's business dealings after this witness testimony.
