Sure, but the point is, it's terrible advice for a woman and bad for a culture. Making women second class is terrible.

Of course. But anything that's an actual Bible verse is going to get quoted a lot by Xtians - even if they don't actually quote it as advice.

Minor quibble: the bible verse isn't that a wife is to a husband as the husband is to Jesus, but as the church is to Jesus.
