A link below to JP Morgan: Guide to the Markets. (I think it is issued every quarter). Lots of graphs and tables regarding valuations and returns for various asset classes, Regions, and types.

An interesting one for me was page 63. Since 1950, 6.6% of the days the SP500 has closed at an all time high. For 30.2% of those days, the market has never closed lower. Also, if you invest at an all time high, the subsequent average 3 year return is 48.1% (not annualized). The average 3 year return for investing on any day is 40.2%. Of course averages hide what happened in the 1996 to 2000 all time high periods!
