House Republicans lost their attempt to censure and fine representative Adam Schiff. The measure was tabled by a vote of 225-196-7.

McCarthy lost 20 republican votes.

Perhaps legislators were confused by the language of the censure resolution, thinking it was Trump being voted on for his "lies, misrepresentations, and abuses of sensitive information," for deceiving "Congress, and the American people," behaving "dishonestly and dishonorably on many other occasions," and for conduct that "misleads the American people in a way that is not befitting an elected" member of government.

Trump, right?

McCarthy cannot legislate.

McCarthy cannot keep his caucus in line.
