Biden Shields Millions of Acres of Alaskan Wilderness From Drilling and Mining
The administration has blocked a proposed industrial road needed to mine copper in the middle of the state, and has banned oil drilling on 13 million acres in the North Slope.I worked in the Brooks Range for 4 years. The mining companies and many in Alaska state government have been pushing for this road for decades. If Trump gets back in this will probably get built. It would be an environmental disaster and rip through the heart of some of the wildest land left in the country.

Your link probably won't work. But I saw this in my news feed anyway.
Yes, very good news. We don't need any more drilling. We're already a net exporter of oil, and we are starting to move away from hydrocarbons. A long road ahead (no pun intended) to eliminate them. But BEVs and EV-hybrids are selling very well. One of my former coworkers bought one, and loved it so much, she bought another one for her SO (not married, but may as well be). Daughter wants one. Some of daughter's friends want them (one did buy one).
Mining is another matter. But likely we can do without it. Some things should just be left unspoiled so future generations can gaze upon them, instead of having to read about how it "used to be" before it was destroyed.
