On Fox 'News' this morning, Brian Kilmeade called for the "involuntary lethal injection" of mentally ill people who commit crimes.

His two co-hosts did not blink an eye or raise their concern, agreeing that his suggestion was completely reasonable.

Umm.

This is not a case of history rhyming, this is a case of Kilmeade being a f*cking Nazi.

At the beginning of WWII, people with mental or physical disabilities were targeted for murder in what Nazis called the T-4, or "euthanasia," program.

Thanks to Trumpedo, this is where we are as a nation: one of the most watched television networks is endorsing a systematic program to murder people with disabilities.

Don't tell me you did Nazi this coming.

"Mental illness is responsible for a small portion of violent behavior, with estimates suggesting it contributes to approximately 4% of violence in the United States."

About 23% of people experience some form of mental illness in their lifetimes. "Just kill them" is an inflammatory statement that goes beyond the pale. No one was talking due process and how you go about determining the person should be locked up. We already have huge amounts of black people locked up and what seems to reduce crime is taking lead out of the environment. We should look to the societies with low crime to see what works.

I see the problem right now, not one of them have MAGA. We should see how they go about not having a MAGA.

"Mental illness is responsible for a small portion of violent behavior, with estimates suggesting it contributes to approximately 4% of violence in the United States."

Fundamentally, the definition of mental incompetence is the ability to determine "right" from "wrong". If someone commits a crime, that is prima facie evidence they cannot make that distinction, so they are funny in the head.

fwiw, I have a neighbor who says all people convicted of a crime should be executed. He cites the recidivism rate for his position.

From Google's AI net sifter:

The U.S. recidivism rate for felons is high, with a 2018 Department of Justice study showing 68% rearrested within 3 years, 79% within 6 years, and 83% within 9 years of release from prison.

So, execute every criminal immediately upon conviction, prevents them committing another crime, and saves a lot of money (which could then be used to fund another tax cut for the "JCs")
/neighbor's theory of justice
