I don't believe Adams is actually happy about it and just doing what he has been told to do.

Who gives a crap whether he's happy about it or not. He's doing the right thing, NOT the phobic thing ..... and that's what counts.

And I don't blame him for being pissed at Abbott for having sent the buses here in the way that he did. It was a very hostile gesture, clearly done to dump this in the midst of a blue city struggling with huge homeless and mental health problems. It would have been a whole different thing to have contacted other governors to try to work out sharing the responsibilities.
