BHM: "Nikki denies the Civil War was fought over slavery"

That's not an accurate statement. She did not mention slavery one way or another at her Berlin, New Hampshire town hall campaign event.

It was an omission, not a denial. It's not at all unusual for politicians to tailor their speeches; pander to the audience demographic. 94% of Berlin's Republican voters are white. She chose not to introduce slavery/racism to the evening discussion. That's entirely different than what you, BHM, claim she did.
