John Oliver offers to pay Clarence Thomas $1m a year if he resigns from supreme court

The late-night talkshow host John Oliver has offered to pay Clarence Thomas $1m annually – as well as give him a $2m tour bus – if the Republican judge resigns from the US supreme court.

Oliver made the proposal on Sunday’s episode of his HBO show Last Week Tonight, saying the supreme court justice had 30 days to accept or it would expire.

Or maybe Thomas thinks this will force his billionaire benefactors to up the ante? : ) Have we had equally corrupt SC justices in the past? Surely he is one of the worst.

THIS - is amazingly good precedent.

It is now ok to try to bribe Supreme Court justices to leave office.

Toss in Senators too.

Another step to "democracy!" going to hell like you people deserve, and Liberals secretly want.

I agree. If he'd handled the gifts, the RV, ethically, he'd pay taxes on some of it, and it isn't like he can say he didn't know. It looks like tax evasion and fraud to me. Is he beyond some statute of limitations some how? I posted because someone here may know.
