I saw this bit of news earlier today, and have been looking for a quick summary. This one is not bad for a one minute summary. They are suing that administration to life the various sanctions against law firms because they are causing many firms to deny representation to people or causes that are disfavored by the administration.

The current administration lacks standing to make claims against any firm. Pretty much ALL REAL, LEGITIMATE law firms refused to work for Spankee because he refused to pay them AND his claims were not legally valid in a court of law.

During times of conflict, lawyers turn into superheroes in order to fight supervillains (who are often also lawyers).

Agreed. I think somewhere buried deep in the accountants’ code of ethics is a requirement to keep up a friendly banter of dissing attorneys, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Those circumstances include Tax Court, malpractice defense, and national emergency.
