He's in hour 22 of his marathon Senate floor speech. There are NO bathroom breaks! And he's clearly a "word man", very articulate and eloquent. Also, he has the passion the democrats are lacking in many of their congress members. I'd vote for this man for president.

The record for the longest individual speech belongs to the late South Carolina Sen. Strom Thurmond — a Democrat at the time who later joined the Republicans. Thurmond spoke for 24 hours and 18 minutes in protest of the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

He surpassed Strom Thurmond, going 25 hours and 4 minutes. In an interview afterward, he mentioned that it bothered him that Thurmond held the record trying to keep people who look like him out of the Senate. And he was still smiling in that interview an hour after his speech ended.
