The history of "Florida Man". I suspect albaby already knew all this. This lawyer is asserting it stems from the Florida law making public records public.

I suspect albaby already knew all this.

Actually, that's new to me. I mean, not the Public Records Act and Sunshine Law stuff - I live that stuff all the time in my practice. But I'd never really made the connection between our exceptionally transparent governmental access and the Florida Man phenomenon. I suppose it makes sense - though it might just be one of those things that it caught on first for Florida, and there could really only be one meme about "State Man."

Manner of death is under investigation? Seems pretty apparent it was death by shrapnel. Yeah, pulling the pin was dumb. If I found something like that, I would call the cops. There's no telling how unstable it is after however many years (since Korea? WWII?). Though I would want it back if they could render it inert.
