I have moved the thread titled “Trump” to the US Policy board as just about every post was applicable there but not applicable here.
Notwithstanding politics effects all investments, it better to post the specifically US political posts there.
Most of the audience here don’t love discussing the subject and may I speculate are receiving more than enough information in the general popular media and social environment. Repeating here may overshadow on-topic posts.
Whilst I have moved this thread as it was so overtly non-Berkshire, you can also now ignore threads the following way:
1. When reading any post, click “Whole Thread (27)” if you are not already reading it as a whole thread.
2. Below or above all the posts, click “Ignore Thread”.

Apologies, I had no idea. I only drop by occasionally to skim and read posts by a few posters (mostly Jim) pick up subject headings relating to other companies for independent review etc.
The topic was flooding the headlines in the media over here and having been to America quite a bit was surprised to hear so asked.
Having had a look at the other board where such matters are discussed "US Policy". I'll keep my thoughts to myself.

Said, you raced Citreon 2CVs at Snetterton and for 24hrs. Why!?
One of my relatives had one when I was a kid and they are the worst cars I've ever come across and travelled in.
I've raced Formula Ford at Thruxton. Try that, im sure you'll have much more fun!

In my youth I once was in the passenger seat of one and I was scared it might tip over. But: The race 2CV´s are very different: Super-low (you have to be very careful over which curb you can drive and over which ones not), kart-like suspension with nearly no travel, unexpectedly high cornering speeds, only with their around 50PS the top speed is quite leisurely (mine was 97 miles/hour at the fastest spot).
They drive like big karts. I also raced Formula Ford (in the New Zealand winter series), and they were far less fun. Same for my main racing with touring cars on Nürburgring Nordschleife (24h race etc.).
Actually a NZ friend who drove 24h races all over the world for decades, was NZ Porsche cup winner and NZ holder of Land Speed Record for Diesel cars, said he never ever had that much fun in a race as in 24h 2CV race he participated in. And it´s not just fun, it´s - as every race - dead serious, just look up what "Bumb Drafting" is, something the fastest ones are doing in that race. Nevertheless it´s one big family. And it´s probably the cheapest 24h race in the world (I am thrifty). Enough reasons? :)

Sounds fun, have you tried original old school Mini Coopers? Think go karts too, and great fun to drive. If you like that kind of thing....

@ciao8: Yes, you catched it perfectly! It´s when 2 cars work together, with the one in the slipstream pushing the one in front ever so softly so that that one and the one in the slipstream both go faster.
This btw was sent to me by my Kiwi friend, who is a legend there:
Just to round out your education ... there is also a practice called SIDE DRAFTING. it was discovered in Australian V8 Supercars and is now used in NASCARS.

@Blackswanny: The original Mini Cooper´s raced together with us, in their own class of course (as did the clearly faster Citroen C1´s). The Mini´s were faster on the straights, but only marginally so in the corners (with the slowest of them even slowing me down in the corners after passing me on the straights).

On the Channel....alongside 2CV racing the Channel features the World Bog Snorkling Championships and World Gravy Wrestling Championships. 😂
