At the Georgia Republican State Convention, Krazi Korporal Kari Lake told the audience, 'If you want to get to President Trump, you are going to have go through me, and you are going to have to go through 75 million Americans just like me,' said Kari Lake, the Republican former candidate for governor of Arizona. 'And I'm going to tell you, most of us are card-carrying members of the N.R.A.'
If that ain't treason, I don't know what is. People will act on that as sure as they stormed the Capital Jan 6.
I wonder if Krazi Kari realizes Georgia has a death penalty for treason against the nation or a state.
§ 16-11-1. Treason
Universal Citation: GA Code § 16-11-1 (2022)
A person owing allegiance to the state commits the offense of treason when he knowingly levies war against the state, adheres to her enemies, or gives them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of the offense of treason except on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act or on confession in open court. When the overt act of treason is committed outside this state, the person charged therewith may be tried in any county in this state.
A person convicted of the offense of treason shall be punished by death or by imprisonment for life or for not less than 15 years.
