Well, yes, the Democrats did jail a Republican for refusing to testify during the Teapot Dome Scandal in 1929, but I have no memory of the board cheering. Did I miss that? :)

Democrat politicians can get away with the hypocrisy because their constituencies (the ProGlibs) seem to have a large component of people with strong borderline personality disorder traits.
