Ive written on this board - that I feel one of the reasons organized religion was against birth control - AND even homosexuality was indeed - money and power.
Less reproduction means less people donating to the Church.
Less reproduction means less people to fight wars, join madrassas, etc.
I'm not a Militant Atheist.
But I am skeptical and suspicious of Organized Religions. I feel they were written by humans. By the smart slick men of their era and they created religions for money and power. All organized religions make it easier for the leaders to be above the law, for leader to collect money. Easier for men to have dominion over women and have sex with women. And sure, the slicksters of yesterday knew that certain societal and health norms - be it marriage or diet or whatever might have some health advantages. Or might keep society orderly. So be it eating pig meat or getting married - they wrote that in under religious guise too. Not saying its all bad, just saying - my opinion is that organized religion is too control the masses, and glorify its leaders ---- NOT for the glory of their Deity.
Funny part is, Islam will win the breeding competition.
And for Europe I am rooting for that to happen.
Ditto Russia with its nuclear arsenal.
