Shipments will be banned beginning Oct 26, 2026.
Used them previously. Not currently. Just got an e-mail from a different Canadian company.
Most important is whether you can bring prescription drugs (made outside the US--for which you have a US prescription) into the US if you travel outside the US and carry the drugs through Customs yourself (3-month supply). Shipping vs bringing them yourself into the US.
Nothing will cause a serious crash faster--and a major national medical emergency--if a lot of people can't get their prescription drugs on a timely basis. This will be REALLY fun-and-interesting time for Ozempic or other imported drugs/APIs.
"Ozempic is manufactured exclusively by Novo Nordisk, with the active ingredient produced in Denmark and final fill-finish operations in Denmark, France, and the United States." So, is Ozempic "Made in USA"? LOL !!! It is PACKAGED in the USA. The API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) is ONLY made in Denmark.

This is VERY interesting:
Ozempic (semaglutide) is going off patent in several countries starting in 2026, enabling generic and biosimilar versions to enter the market.
Patent Expiry Timeline
Semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy, will see its patent protections lapse in countries like India, Canada, China, Brazil, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia in 2026
This allows domestic and international pharmaceutical companies to manufacture and sell lower-cost generic or biosimilar versions. In contrast, in the United States, the main compound patent (US 8,129,343) expires on December 5, 2031, with additional formulation and method-of-use patents extending exclusivity into the 2030s
This staggered expiry means generics will first appear in emerging markets before high-income countries.
