Lost in the Jimmy Kimmel hoo-hah is the fact that under direct pressure from the last administration Google (and others) engaged in broad censorship of voice the Biden admin didn't want speaking. Now they're changing it:
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/google-reinstate-...FIRST ON FOX: Google vowed on Tuesday to offer YouTube accounts that were permanently banned for political speech the ability to be reinstated, and the big tech giant admitted that it once faced pressure from the Biden administration to remove content about COVID-19.
Google detailed its remarkable shift in a document, first obtained by Fox News Digital, that a lawyer for the company provided to the House Judiciary Committee.
The new policy from Google, also known by its parent company Alphabet, could affect both average users and well-known figures like FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, White House counterterrorism chief Sebastian Gorka and "War Room" podcast host Steve Bannon, all of whom were permanently banned in recent years for COVID-19 or election-related content.
"Reflecting the Company’s commitment to free expression, YouTube will provide an opportunity for all creators to rejoin the platform if the company terminated their channels for repeated violations of COVID-19 and elections integrity policies that are no longer in effect," the lawyer representing Google wrote. That's a decent first step, but Google's other move was to deny ad revenue to right-leaning publications. They need to fix that also.

The Biden Administration censorship pressure was "unacceptable and wrong."
This is an opinion and is incorrect. A pandemic is one of those times you can censor misinformation, etc. That it didn't violate googles policies is worth noting but of no consequence.
Jefferson:
"Whether circumstances do not sometimes occur which make it a duty in officers of high trust to assume authorities beyond the law, is easy of solution in principle, but sometimes embarrassing in practice. A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen: but it is not the highest, the laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. to lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property & all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
But this isn't the fabricated, contrived, and imaginary emergencies of Trump, which were not contemplated by Jefferson. The Pandemic was declared by a world recognized body with that ability and they didn't do it lightly. IIRC the response to the Pandemic guidelines saved 3 million American lives.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, thanks to the oversight of Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Google commits to offer all creators previously kicked off YouTube due to political speech violations on topics such as COVID-19 and elections an opportunity to return to the platform.
...hang on a second, while I stop laffing.....OK, so, will Google also take direction from Jordan about what they *do* censor, going forward, like anything that might be connected to ANTIFA "terrorists", meaning anything Lord Trump doesn't like?
