Orange Jesus has reached the point in his campaign where he is literally promising anything and everything to anyone and everyone.
Today in Detroit, speaking to the Detroit Economic Club, he said he would propose making interest on car loans fully tax deductible. He has also said he will eliminate taxes on various forms of income, including overtime work, tipped wages and Social Security benefits. And cut taxes for the wealthy. And cut taxes for corporations.
He has not said much about paying for any of it or about cutting spending.
Well, except for eliminating the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Weather Service, and the Office of Oceanic And Atmospheric Research, especially prescient cuts in light of back-to-back devastating weather events.
Evidently Orange Jesus didn't think adding $7.8 trillion to the national debt in four years was enough.
Clever man.
How clever? This clever:
TRUMP: "The whole country's gonna be like, you want to know the truth? It'll be like Detroit. Our whole country will be like Detroit if she's your president. You're gonna have a mess on your hands."
Remember, he's speaking to Detroit's business executives.
AUDIENCE: Stone cold silence.
The man can read a room, can't he?

At least he's consistent. He can't read a book either. 😊

Of course he cannot do all the things he promises, and he knows it.
If he gets elected, and inevitably cannot do most of what he promised, he will blame it on Congress or whoever is handy. And his MAGA cult will still say: "Promises made, promises kept", though it be utter bullshit.
Remember his infamous quote after screwing up the coronavirus response: "I don't take responsibility at all". He never does.

Not as good as giving $7.500 to upper income white people towards a new car.
Maybe Harris will throw in pin stripes.

Just to be fair, he does claim responsibility for other people’s successes.
