He has to have some pretext to declare an emergency that empowers him to invoke the insurrection act.
Could be a continuation of the invasion of immigrants theme, but that is wearing thin.
Could be ISIS or al Qaeda slipping in to blow something up, knowing that Trump and his enablers have dismantled much of the security apparatus.
Could be the counterprotestors to his June 14 military parade. All it takes is one Boogaloo Boy with a match and a can of gasoline.
Could be (and there’s a good chance it will be)- something we can’t even fathom at this point.
But he wants to do it. He’s hinting around about doing it. He’s investigating how to do it. He’s drafting the wording for such a move. And if he does, that will be a declaration of war on the American people.
