Every once in a while I will turn on Fox News to see what they are talking about or get their take on certain events, since I do recognize that my news sources carry biases as well, of varying levels.

A couple nights ago I switched on Fox News just to see what was going on, and they spent 20 minutes trashing the character of Megan Rapinoe for missing her penalty kick. It was the lead story of the show that came on, and in fact the only story. They were still going on and on when I turned it off, figuring 20 minutes was plenty more than enough of my time to spend on it. Even Laura Ingraham, while admitting she knew nothing about soccer, did it because her guest (who did at least know a little bit about soccer) did it and if he said it, it must be correct, right? At least that's what Laura said plainly.

What a colossal waste! Don't they have something better to talk about, something of actual importance? I guess not. This must have fit their narrative better than any real story. Megan must have really gotten their goat at some point, because they were sure trying to get hers.
