Got anything with Vance talking about policy, Vance's policy. That would make a better analogy than Vance's opinion about an individual.
If Vance was expressing his support of no cash bail, that would have vastly more impact on peoples lives than his opinion about Trump.

How about quoting Vance describing a policy he favors, eg banning off shore drilling, something impactful to peoples lives.
I could have quoted something about Kamala's loving Yellow School Buses, but her opinion on immigrant detention centers seemed more relevant.
