Terrorist Proud Boy Joe Biggs, convicted of seditious conspiracy for his role on Jan. 6 of attempting to forcibly stop the nation's transfer of power, is sentenced to 17 years. After his very long FA stage, he's finally reached the FO stage.
Biggs was the first of the five Proud Boys to go before Kelly for sentencing. Although the judge issued his ruling on the terrorism guideline only as it applied to Biggs, he was likely to apply to same logic to the other defendants -- who were all convicted of the same charge.
Prosecutors had sought a 33 year sentence.

Not sure about "FA" and "FO", but it's good to see. One can complain all they like (I do it a lot), but actually interfering with the peaceful transfer of power just because your guy lost is not acceptable. Hopefully that message has been sent, and will be send four more times (at least).

And that never would have happened if that GD Donald Trump hadn't tried to lie his way into an unelected second term. He's the ultimate culprit and these bozos are collateral damage.

And we should call them terrorists. Now we can remind someone expressing extremist views they can have free room and board for 17 years if they want. People do express extremist views to me in different venues.
I expressed to my brother that the most valuable right is the one you are being deprived of, but that being overseas made me appreciate due process, right to a speedy trial, habeas corpus, etc. His response was that some Jan 6ers had been held in jail and not charged for over two years. I never argue with my brother on this when he makes a misstep into politics. I know all of them are charged, but my brother is off somewhere where they aren't charged and Ray Epps is a Federal Agent.
