Israel has long depended on Christians reading *one* book of the Bible - you know - the one that allows them to say 'noun, verb, RAPTURE!"...........and then going out int0 the world and shouting "Israel!" "Israel!' because hey, God is so damn strong, but he needs Wade and Cody to work overtime shifts for $22 bucks an hour and work as a security guard for Israel because it's God's chosen place. If our democracy survives (not a guarantee), Congress during the next sane administration should set about limiting the power of the Executive to engage in such purges. Sure, they get to pick their Cabinet. But purging the military and civil service should NOT be an option. Both were meritocracies. If we can't get that back, we'll go the way of every other regime that purges "disloyal" personnel.
