H1-Bs are a dodge today. Their original purpose to bring in people we needed that could not otherwise be found domestically was fine. But now it's a way of getting a cheap educated workforce.

Sigh. So much ignorance.

One more time, so it registers: many H1-Bs are issued to foreign kids who went to US universities. Some go to kids from highly respected foreign schools also. The last one I was involved with was my former intern who I hired on full-time who is from Canada and went to school there.

The company pays her the same exact wage it pays…every one else at her pay grade.
