Oil is quite bearish, maybe that’s why Buffett not adding. On the demand side, China , imo, is in serious long term decline. India’s is helping a bit but i dont know if it’s enough. On the supply side, US companies are rapidly improving productions at ever lower cost with the help of technologies including AIs. OPEC is also have disputes internally and no able to cut production aggressively.
But perhaps the best time to long oil is now when nobody wants it. Everyone is pulling back on capx, and because of the curve backwardation, nobody is storing any oils.
