TBH, the market was due for a correction, so any "bad" news would have been sufficient to take it down. I wouldn't be surprised to see the SP-500 trade down another 10% or so.

TBH, the market was due for a correction, so any "bad" news would have been sufficient to take it down.

That’s the “normal” explanation that is given when mildly bad news that otherwise would have been ignored, is used to explain a decline in markets that probably would have happened anyway.


But this is not “mildly bad news”. This is a declaration of economic war against the rest of the world (except for Russia).
