I'm seriously asking.

Is it more about enjoying protests and recs? OR do Democrats really want to defeat trump and actually be in power? Why i ask:

"No Kings!"

"Garcia!"

The White 401K'ers love partying over issues that frankly don't resonate with most Americans. HOWEVER Trump is giving them so much ammo to win the next 2028 election. I was looking at a swing state called Pennsylvania - you know - a state that can decide the election. Round numbers:

500,000 people on obamacare.

410,000 of those people get TAX SUBSIDIES for their insurance costs.

Republicans if they succeeded will there for RAISE monthly costs for 410,000 people by $100's of dollars. No, this isn't an ATM fee this is serious to many people's budgets -- again - stop thinking of your 401K bubble.

In 2024 Trump won PA by 120,000. SO......all you gotta do is go to 400,000 people and say "DO YOU LIKE LOSING $400 PER MONTH"??????

And if you get 31% of those people to say "no. i want my $400 a month back!" ------ Dems win the presidency.

Or you can do he/him. Kings. Garcia. And keep warming the planet.

Enjoy either way......

There definitely is a place for those protests. Especially the lack of due process in much of what is going on. People need to be made aware of these illegal things (especially since it could happen to them just as easily...as I said before, if stopped on the street I could not prove my citizenship on the spot, and I was born here).

But you make an excellent point that Dems need to gauge their audience, and tailor their message to suit that audience. Your analysis does overlook the people that aren't on O-care and/or don't like it. Most people get their insurance from their employers, and some subset of those people think "if you can't get medical coverage, get a job!". I do not know how large that subset is.

But, yes, Dems need to be screaming about tax cuts for billionaires, paid for by cuts in the subsidies for O-care (among other things). As time marches on, they'll also be able to scream about lack of government services as the layoffs start affecting national parks (millions of Americans love their parks), their dealings with SS/Medicare/Medicaid/[insert government agency here], air traffic control (a big problem before the layoffs), etc.

Getting a job does not mean that your employer will offer health insurance.

https://www.hr-brew.com/stories/2024/11/22/small-b...
Small businesses have dropped healthcare coverage over the last three decades
High costs and the Affordable Care Act have pushed more small employers to stop offering healthcare.

https://insuranceinformant.com/how-does-a-company-...
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employers with 50 or more full-time employees are required to provide health insurance to 95 of their employees or face penalties to the IRS. This penalty is often imposed on businesses with 50 or more full-time equivalent (FTE) employees. Employers must offer comprehensive, affordable health insurance coverage or reimburse employees for premiums they pay.

For small businesses with fewer than 50 full-time employees, the ACA does not mandate offering health insurance. However, many small businesses still choose to provide coverage to stay competitive. If you don’t have health insurance from your employer, there are several options you should consider.

Very true. But -not to sound condescending-, we're talking about mostly low-info voters that don't know that.

This is all so ridicuously easy and I see now why Karl Rove --- or now Trump and KellyAnne win... when they should lose.

People.

You have a 50-50 so called country. You've got sects, tribes, castes now ---though you don't call it that yet.

You lost - because a handful people ---in a handful of states went against you.

I can't understand why you people want to complicate this:

400,000 in a state get ObamaCare. Most of them subsidies.

Explain to them 24/7 - talk WITH them --meet them where they are----really get them to decide if shelling out $400 a month more, for less care is orth it.

And maybe do it via a campaign and an apparatus that doesn't reek of Coastal I'm Better Than You-Ism. Maybe ditch the he/him shit ---for THIS. Maybe ditch the Garcia stuff....FOR THIS and all you gotta do is convince people in real terms -- that they dn't want to get dinged $400 a month and give up benefits at the same time. This is all so laughably easy.

Speaking of low-info voters......

Governor Beshear, DEMOCRAT RE-ELECTED IN Kentucky. 2nd time he got bigger totals in the Reddest areas.

How did thosae low info people - go Dem?

How come that low info state gives it's Guv---a 68% approval?

I agree with you. Talking about the little guy (i.e. most voters) having to pay more to get less to fund billionaire tax cuts. That is easy. You might even be able to swing tax increases on billionaires as part of that narrative.

I don't follow KY politics, so I don't know how he did it. I'm assuming he is either a conservative Dem, and/or did what you said and went out to meet the people and listen.
