No, not the beautiful love song that David Gates wrote when he was in the band Bread.

But a question no one on the right has found an answer for.

If Trump is innocent, why is he fighting tooth and nail to suppress the Epstein files?

Actions speak louder than words.

<albaby>
Because he knows that when all is revealed and there's nothing there, MAGA will go nuts!

Implausible? I'd say so.

David Gates- a Tulsa boy who graduated from blue collar Rogers High School along with Leon Russell and SE Hinton (author of The Outsiders).

That high school produced several national standouts in a few short years- certainly more than my high school produced- the favored school on the “right side” of town.

Gate’s first band in high school included a piano player named Claude Russell Bridges. Claude later changed his name to Leon Russell.

One of the best things about life on the west coast was the musicians who loved the west coast venues...

Leon and Willie, in their prime, liked to play just down the road from my Dana Point home at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, an intimate venue where an extra $20 would get you seated at a table next to Trigger or Leons piano. 2 drink minimum.

The good old days.

Leon eventually returned to Oklahoma and could be seen in a few bars and venues, including Cain’s in the near northside (Greenwood) area of Tulsa. In 1970. I walked into a bar on 51st Street (Pickles) and a few tables over- there was Leon and George Harrison. An old girlfriend of mine talked about playing pool with him. I never did see him with Joe Cocker, though that was about the time of “Mad Dogs and Englishmen”

Eventually, he bought a place up on Grand Lake, east of Tulsa, and converted part of the house into a high end studio. That was probably 80s-90s… somewhere in there..

The mid sixties Tulsa that SE Hinton writes about in “The Outsiders” really was like she described, but if truth be known, it was probably a good description of alot of places back then.

Interesting piece about “The Tulsa Sound”:

I've enjoyed the Cale/Clapton/Russell stuff. It never got the attention it deserved.

First song comes to mind about Tulsa, for me, is about a train. Emmylou and Rodney Crowell ... with gorgeous breaks by Albert Lee, the telemaster and Hank DeVito.

This... Goosebumps everytime I hear this!
